The successful day included lunchbox demonstrations, boomerang painting, mask making and activities provided by the Playgroup Victoria Play Van.
Playgroup Victoria's Play Van travelled down from Melbourne for the event with four staff accompanying it to help out.
A maternal and child health nurse and dietician were also in attendance on the day to answer any questions.
This year National Playgroup Week was held from March 23 through to March 30.
National Playgroup Week is an opportunity for parents to learn more about Playgroup through the fun and interactive activities that are being offered by Playgroup and participating sponsors.
The events are aimed to increase the profile of Playgroup and generate interest from attendees.
This week-long event is a time to recognise the value of Playgroups in the community.
Playgroups are one of the most popular and enduring grass roots movements for families with young children and are an important part of the early childhood experience.
Stawell Powerhouse Playgroup would like to thank the Maternal and Child Health Nurse, Grampians Pyrenees Produce, Northern Grampians Shire Council, Grampians Community Health, Stawell Neighbourhood House, Ararat Neighbourhood House and Playgroup Victoria for their involvement in the successful event.
