Residents of Glenorchy, Stawell, Halls Gap, Rupanyup and even a couple passing through from Western Australia, were entertained by the sounds of Australian duo Siskin River and award-winning Canadian musicians Gordie MacKeeman and His Rhythm Boys.
Northern Grampians Shire Mayor, Cr Murray Emerson said the Festival had been very well received by the community.
"It was fantastic to see so many people turn out on the night and enjoy some world-class music in our own backyard," Cr Emerson said.
"The night would not have been possible without the assistance of the Glenorchy locals, especially the Hall Committee who ran the bar and put on the food for the night, and the Glenorchy Improvement Group.
"We must extend a big thank you to both for their hard work."
This year was the Festival's first foray into Victoria after three successful tours in Queensland and New South Wales.
Both Siskin River and Gordie MacKeeman had been nearby for the Port Fairy Folk Festival and will soon head up to Canberra for the National Folk Festival.
Festival Producer Chloe Goodyear said Glenorchy was a fantastic town in which to start the tour and seems to have set the tone for the places visited since.
"We suspected that the artists would receive a warm reception, simply due to the hard work of the hosts and committee in Glenorchy and we're so glad that work paid off with such a great attendance for this first Victorian show," Ms Goodyear said.
"If this is how Glenorchy works, we'll be looking forward to returning in 2016.
"We're so grateful to have been welcomed to the town so beautifully."
