This year's Mother's Day Classic walk will be held on Sunday, May 10.
The committee is extremely grateful to Stawell Gold Mines on receiving a community grant, which will help with costs incurred in running the event.
The committee has also received a grant from the Northern Grampians Shire which will be used to purchase a Mother's Day Classic inflatable start/finish arch that will be used each year.
A special raffle is to be conducted by the committee with tickets on sale soon.
Fantastic prizes will include a two night accommodation package valued at $550 at 'At the Gap' Halls Gap, a hand-made quilt donated by Lyn Keller, a garden supply basket donated by Mitre 10 and hair products donated by Haircutters Workshop.
There are several ways you can register for the walk:
- Register online at http://www.mothersdayclassic.com.au/ `
- Download the registration form and drop it in to the Stawell Library or Grampians Pharmacy
- Call in to the Stawell Library or Grampians Pharmacy and fill out your registration.
Merchandise is available on the Mother's Day Classic website.
The inaugural event in 2014 saw 429 walkers registered, with many more looking on and volunteering on the day.
The support from the Stawell and district community was fantastic and the committee looks forward to an even more successful event this year.
