At the club rally tomorrow and Sunday, members will go over how to prepare your pony, what to wear, workouts and what the judge is looking for. It should be a lot of fun and a lot of laughs.
Discussion on dressage was requested at the previous rally held by the Grampians Carriage Drivers. Club members have agreed to set up an arena and have some fun while learning about dressage.
Grampians Carriage Drivers, although a new club, has very experienced members who have been members of the Australian Carriage Driving Society, for nearly 40 years.
With these members behind the club, Grampians have taken on the job of running the Victorian Show Driving Championships to be held at Bendigo Showgrounds on December 8, along with a Show Driving Clinic on December 9.
This weekend certainly does look like being another busy rally. Some members will be camping over, and a lot of tall stories will be told around the camp fire for certain.
Members will be given a talk on how to prepare for harness classes at the Stawell Show on October 27. The Show Committee has graciously put on extra harness classes to cater for the growing interest in carriage driving in the area.
