The opportunity for students to learn the values on which our country was built, will not be available as a result.
At the same time, with comings and goings and the constant demands of life, there is scarcely time to spend together.
However, there are still plenty of opportunities to come together as families, to hear and share the good news, be creative together and share over a meal.
Messy Church, a worldwide phenomenon, meets at Stawell Uniting Church on the first Sunday of each month.
Stawell Uniting Church initiated the Messy Church program for Stawell, which aims at ensuring families have a time set aside for sharing and being together.
This comes without the worry of having to cook a meal, yet being able to sit down together amongst friends and eat, laugh and talk.
The next Messy Church gathering at the Stawell Uniting Church is this Sunday, February 1. All interested people are invited to attend, or contact Susan Pearse on 5358 1161.
