Driscoll has played plenty of football in his short career at many clubs.
Starting at Saint Joeys in Geelong in his junior days Driscoll has made his way to Ballarat Football League as well as Bellarine Football League where he has played the last three seasons.
The hard hitting midfielder will give Stawell some added size in the middle of the ground, something they have been lacking in recent years.
Driscoll is excited about the new role he will take on at Warriors and expects it will be different to roles he has had in the past.
"I'm looking forward to playing alongside a young group of guys," Driscoll said.
"From what I can gather I will be expected to show some leadership and just use my body."
Driscoll will be a good inclusion to the midfield as well as coming out of the back line.
The 27 year old right footer will offer Stawell more than just football ability as he starts PE teaching at Stawell Secondary College at the start of the school year.
When Driscoll first took the job he was approached by Warriors and the CKS Swifts Football Club and elected to go to Warriors due to the standard of football.
"I'm not sure how Warriors match up against Swifts and that doesn't really bother me," Driscoll said.
"I knew the Wimmera League was stronger than Horsham District and in the end that is what I based my decision around."
Driscoll who has played with Swifts assistant coach Adam Leslie before, said the decision was a hard one given he knew few people in the town.
Driscoll had his first preseason run around with the Warriors on Wednesday night when they trained at the Stawell Leisure Complex.
While admitting he was a little bit nervous prior to training he excelled at training and is keen to get out on the field.
The club revealed no one had played in his preferred jumper number of 16 and that he would most likely receive that number ahead of his first game which was a nice touch.
Driscoll has joined the other big name recruits in James Delahunty, Brad Thomas and Luke Hendy in what looks to have been a solid off season for the Warriors.
Coach Brad Cassidy is happy with how the team is progressing.
"We are all keen to get out their a play round one," Cassidy said.
"We have a number of new recruits that we think will make our team stronger than what it was last year."
The core playing group will remain the same with the likes of Tom Eckel and Cam Kimber running through the midfield and Todd Matthews and Brenton Potter holding down each end.
Eckel will captain the team again this season and will be hoping for a better result as a team than in previous years.
