The Combine occupied the crease for the entire day at Central Park to chalk up an impressive 322.
Without having one player that stood out from the rest, Swifts Great Western had many contributors, with three making half centuries.
Swifts started their innings well as openers Nic Clough and Sam Cocks made their way to 88 without loss.
Cocks was the first to go with 45 runs to his name when he was dismissed by Adnan Rasheed.
Travis Nicholson played a supporting role for Clough before Clough was later dismissed on 63.
Pomonal's Matt Grinham took care of Craig Marrow before he had the chance to do any damage, but Nicholson was getting ready to let loose down the other end.
Jamie Bach had the best seat in the house as he did his job continuing to rotate the strike.
Nicholson had hit to every part of the ground before he went skyward and was caught by Lachie Green.
Tom Eckel took little time to find some form and the middle of his bat as he put on an unbeaten 71.
A quickfire 24 runs from Gary Ranton pushed the Combine's total past 300 and set them up for next weekend's defence.
The clash between Aradale and Youth Club looks in the balance as Aradale dismissed Youth Club for 183 at Alexandra Oval.
Youth Club had several batsmen get starts, but almost all of them failed to make a decent total.
Jamie Solyom was the only player to build on his start, making 57.
Other contributions came from Shaun Ellis who made 31 and Ethan Marrow who made 24.
Adam Haslett was the best of the Aradale bowling attack with 3/29 while Brent Tate also took three wickets.
Aradale made a start to their innings, facing a difficult seven overs, but managed to get through unscathed. They are sitting at 0/9.
Buangor will now set their sights on outright points, after wrapping up a first innings win on day one.
Chalambar were sent in by Buangor and after their opening four batsmen got starts, they would have been confident.
Aaron Jenkins led the scoring, putting 26 runs on the board, but when their last six wickets fell for just 29 runs they were in trouble.
Buangor's Harry Ganley tore through the lower order with bowling figures of 4/17 from 12 overs.
Chasing 120 Buangor lost the early wicket of Harry Ganley and were sitting at 1/5. Jack Ganley and Ben Harrison settled at the crease before Harrison's stumps were dismantled by Luke Walker.
Ganley is currently not out on 68 and Buangor lead by 10 runs with seven wickets in hand.
Buangor will like their chances of bowling Chalambar out for a second time when the match resumes this Saturday.
