Opting to bat after winning the toss, Youth Club put a solid 166 runs on the board, giving their bowlers something to defend.
Opener Robert Scott was controlled in his innings, batting through most of the overs as he made his way to 82 runs.
Luke Jordan took the important wicket of Scott, but that was his only wicket for the day and a lot of the damage had already been done.
It was in the field where the class of Youth Club shone through as Pomonal looked out of their depth, once again failing with the bat on the Central Park turf.
Youth Club captain Jamie Solyom led from the front, taking three wickets, while Paul Antonio claimed two late wickets to wrap up the Pomonal innings.
In the end, Pomonal fell 44 runs short of their target, being dismissed for 122.
Pomonal had contributors at the top of the order, but none were able to go on with it.
Jarrod Illig bowled well once again, but he also had a good day in the field, affecting two run outs as his team claimed an easy victory heading into the Christmas break.
Sam Cocks was able to lead Swifts/Great Western to a comprehensive win over Tatyoon, making it mathematically impossible for the reigning premier to play finals this season.
The Combine put on 164 runs and Tatyoon offered little resistance, as they were bundled out for 114 in reply.
Swifts/Great Western had all of their top six batsmen make a start while Tatyoon's Jarrod Blandford was the only player to reach a decent score.
Blandford finished his innings on 53, but needed more support for his team to challenge.
Tatyoon's top order provided some resistance, but with four batsmen dismissed without scoring, a win was always in doubt.
Gary Ranton was the strike bowler for Swifts Great Western, tearing through the Tatyoon batting lineup to finish with six wickets for the match.
He conceded just nine runs along the way in an impressive bowling performance.
Rick Peters also struck form at the right time with the ball, claiming the other three wickets.
Buangor went agonisingly close to defending their total of 146 runs in the clash against Aradale at Alexandra Oval.
However, Aradale was able to chip away at the target and managed to grab victory in the final over of the day.
The target proved challenging at times, but in the end, Aradale was equal to the task.
Chris Jerram had Buangor off to a good start, making 53 runs while Matt Moloney's quickfire 20 towards the back end of the innings was valuable, giving the Buangor bowlers something to defend.
Aradale paceman Brent Tate was able to claim the prized wicket of Harry Ganley for just eight runs on his way to 2/15 and that would have given Aradale plenty of confidence. Ganley has been a big run maker this season.
Ganley was able to bounce back with the ball, but a standout innings from Travis Horvatek was enough to steady the ship for Aradale. Horvatek finished with 53 runs as Aradale won by six runs.
