The courtyard will be unveiled this coming Sunday, November 30.
Located at 'Currie House', the new-look courtyard will be unveiled at a community celebration to mark 60 years since Eventide Homes opened.
The refurbishment was funded with a bequest by Wilfred Alan Crow, who lived at Eventide Homes from 2005 to 2009.
"The fantastic all-access communal space will be known as the 'Bill Crow Courtyard'," Eventide Homes CEO, Sue Blakey said.
"Stawell landscaper Russell Waring has done a great job on the construction, which includes an alfresco dining area, seating and paths. We look forward to sharing the unveiling with Bill's children Stanley, Gordon, John and Joyce and their families."
Ms Blakey said the bequest also enabled Eventide to install artificial lawn, raised garden beds, plants and trees, an automatic sprinkler system and the required drainage. There is also a dedicated space for residents to park motorised gophers.
"Former staff, family and friends of Eventide are all encouraged to come along to our special 60th birthday gathering," Ms Blakey said.
"It will be a wonderful opportunity for everyone to see how Eventide continues to develop and grow, and to share our stories."
The celebration starts at 11.45am for lunch at noon, official courtyard opening at 1pm and tours at 1.45pm.
If you would like to attend, please RSVP to Eventide Homes on 5358 2027.
