Parkin has had a year to remember on the football field. Not only did he coach the senior team to back-to-back premiership titles, he captained the Maryborough Castlemaine District Football League representative team where he was awarded best on ground and now he has won the club best and fairest.
Parkin guided his team to an undefeated season.
There was only four games for the season where Parkin didn't put his name on the scoreboard and eight where he wasn't listed in the best players.
While Parkin took best and fairest honours, Ash Driscoll was the leading goal kicker with 84 goals for the season.
In the reserves it was dangerous forward Ben Crichton who took out the top award.
Crichton had wrapped up the award with several games still to be read in the vote count.
With a total of 74 goals Crichton also won the club and league goal kicking award.
Crichton was named in the best in every game except three.
Aaron Slorach won the under 17 vote count. Slorach was a part of the premiership side that defeated Carisbrook.
While he played a lot of the season in the middle of the ground, Slorach also pushed forward and kicked 30 goals.
Riley Bibby won the goal kicking award with 52 goals and Darby Grinham kicked 37.
Rounding out the best and fairest winners was Paul Summer in the under 15s.
Summers played all 18 games and kicked 30 goals for the season to be a clear winner.
In the netball Jess Williamson capped off a good season of netball taking out the A grade best and fairest.
Williamson battled it out with coach Jess Parry at the top while third place was a long way back.
Williamson was in her third season at the club.
Amy Kindred's defensive pressure was enough to see her win the B grade best and fairest vote count for season 2014.
Kindred showed signs of improvement and composure in her grand final appearance this season and was a deserving winner of the award.
Bianca Stewart won the C grade in a tight contest from shooter Bek Seeary.
In the junior netball Georgia McDermott couldn't finish with a premiership medal, but was awarded Navarre's best for the season.
Maggie Clough finished the year strongly with yet another trophy to add to her collection.
Clough represented Navarre in the interleague side and also won the league best and fairest.
Clough played in many positions throughout the year with her best netball being played in goal attack.
