Tyrepower took it up to Armstrong Concrete to force a 25 all draw. Michael Hackwill (13) and Tom Walker (7) led the way for Tyrepower.
Gold Reef remained in second spot in the rankings with a strong 34-15 win over BiRite Tropics.
Jack Walker was the main player in the key for Gold Reef, throwing 15 points for the match.

Comfort Plus kept in touch with the competition leaders in the 16 and under girl's competition, with an upset 16-14 win over the second team Sweeney Todds.

Westside Carpet Choice held onto fourth spot, with a comfortable 36-22 result against Bad Juju.
Top scorers for the winning Westside Carpet Choice team were Ebony Summers (12) and Tori Burkhill (11).
The top two teams set the pattern for the round in the under 14 boy's division with wins.
Top team Comfort Plus, with Jakob Salmi (15) leading the way, worked hard to score a 32-28 win over Pykes Pets and Cycles.
Bad Juju were the big winners of the round with a 48-8 result over Ranson Rotomoulding, with Zac Jenkinson leading the scoring with his 20 points.
Skinners Electrical continued on their winning way in the 12 and under girl's division holding out the third team Comfort Plus 15-12.
Dakota Cosson topped the scoring on the night with her 13 points for Skinners Electrical.
Pykes Pets and Cycles were in winning form in their clash against Bad Juju with a 22-16 win. Anabelle Bennett (8) topped the scoring for Pykes.
In the under 12 boy's competition the top two teams Pykes Pets and Cycles and Gold Reef Clothing played a thriller with Pykes winning out 20-18.
Kobe Smith was the top points scorer for the match with his 10 points for Gold Reef Clothing.
Westide Carpet Choice kept in touch with the two leaders with a 17-12 win over Bad Juju.
Miners have emerged as the early pacesetters in the 10 and under mixed division with their second win in as many matches.
Miners with Noah Lyons shooting 16 points won out 24-8 over rockets.
Fury also stepped up with a strong 15-2 win over Bears.
