The 27-year-old Ryan last won the coveted championship in 2008, but since then has become a world class ultra-marathoner and won his first international race in August, the challenging Nifty 50 at Juneau, Alaska, over a challenging course at altitude.
Gary Saunders, the 74-year-old greybeard, started in all 21 races, achieved a rare feat by winning three times and posted his fastest times since 2008 to win the Keith Haymes senior aggregate from Meggy Boan, who was a clear winner of the Ian Notting open female and veteran female awards.
Saunders and Boan were also winner and runner-up for the Ray Rickard teams trophy.
Keith Lofthouse missed three races through injury, but found form late in the season to win the Ian Notting veteran male award for a second time.
Promising 12-year-old Rhys Bubb who travels from Donald each weekend with his parents to compete, was a deserved winner of the club's Bob H Freeland Memorial junior award.
