Blake has for a long time loved the sport of Australian rules football and growing up playing football with her older brother Seth, she was destined to play.
Blake has no concerns about what other girls her age think or do.
"I started playing football because I have grown up with my older brother playing," Blake said.
"I just learnt off him and it's a really fun sport.
In her first year of competition Blake played in two different teams.
Alongside her brother, Blake was a premiership player with the CKS Swifts under 14 team that defeated Edenhope Apsley in the Horsham District League.
She is also a member of the Ararat Storm team that features in the Ballarat Football League.
It is with her Ararat team where she has excelled and shown great improvement.
Blake spends most of her time at full forward or centre half forward in the Storm colours which resulted in her taking home the goal kicking award this year.
She was also the best first year player, polling 15 votes in their club vote count.
Although still very young and enjoying her time at Marian College she has ambitions to pursue a career in the women's AFL and when her playing days are over she would like to coach.
"My dream is to become a girls AFL player," Blake said.
"When I'm done playing I also want to be a coach so girls like me can do what they love."
Blake is currently trying out for the Ballarat Rebels girls football team.
She is extremely thankful to her parents who allow her to play football on a regular basis and to her brother Seth who allows her to play in his team.
At such a young age Blake has had lots of success and is sure to inspire other girls to take a leap at playing what was formerly a male sport.
Women's AFL is growing at a rapid rate and Blake is excited to be a part of it.
The only other Stawell player in the Ararat Storm team is Shani Griffin.
Griffin spends time at both ends of the ground and like most of the girls is showing great potential.
