The distinguishable object returned to Stawell as part of the seventeenth annual Very Special Kids Piggy Bank Appeal.
Settling outside the Commonwealth Bank, the appeal was once again well supported by the Stawell community, residents making generous donations to ensure the charity can continue its important work.
The Very Special Kids Piggy Bank Appeal runs throughout September and seeks to raise more than $1 million to support families with children with life threatening conditions.
Stawell residents were encouraged to purchase merchandise, meet 'Oink' the mascot and join in the celebrations to mark this year's Piggy Bank Appeal.
Very Special Kids chief executive officer Dr Sarah Hosking said the contribution of Commonwealth Bank had been instrumental in the continued success of the appeal.
"Commonwealth Bank has supported us since the appeal began in 1998, helping us to raise millions of dollars and make a significant difference to the lives of the families we support," she said.
Very Special Kids supports more than 800 Victorian families that are caring for children with life-threatening conditions.
It is a unique organisation that assists families with sick children throughout their experience, from diagnosis through to recovery or bereavement.
Very Special Kids House is Victoria's only children's hospice and it provides 24 hour specialist nursing care in a warm and welcoming environment.
Commonwealth Bank Regional General Manager for Victoria (Melbourne) Richard Porter said the bank is proud to lend a hand to such a worthy organisation.
"Many of our branch managers have been to visit Very Special Kids House, and have been touched by the care and love provided to the children and their families," he said.
