Popular and versatile artist Laura Downing from Brisbane will headline the show on Thursday, October 16. The show commences at 10am.
Downing will be supported by Moyston country music artist John Ross-Gilder.
Horsham Country Music Secretary, Lyall Wheaton said his association was pleased to bring Morning Melodies featuring country music artists to small rural towns.
"In the past three years we have held Morning Melodies in Warracknabeal, Hopetoun, Beulah and Goroke," Mr Wheaton said.
"This year we have selected Great Western with Laura Downing and John Ross-Gilder on Thursday, October 16."
Mr Wheaton said that Morning Melodies are proving to be very popular in rural towns with attendances around 150 people attending.
Mr Wheaton said that Laura Downing is well known in the country music industry with her yodelling, sense of humour and wide range of country music songs. Ms Downing has won numerous national awards and has a large number of CDs to her credit.
Downing is a regular at the Mildura Country Music Festival and has performed at three Horsham Country Music Festival and at the disbanded Moyston Country Music Festival.
The cost to attend the Great Western Morning Melodies is $15 which includes morning tea. People planning to attend need to reserve a seat at the Great Western Shoppe at 93-95 Main St Great Western or phone Tracey on 53562370.
Payment is at the door on the day. Doors will open at 9.30am for a 10.00am start.
The Great Western Hall Committee will provide a light lunch for $8.
