Josh Hyde won first place in special technique flying kicks, sparring, and power punch, as well as a second place in patterns.
This exceptional effort resulted in Hyde being awarded best overall junior male champion.
Competing in his first tournament Jayde McMurtrie also excelled, winning both his patterns and sparring divisions, and placing third in power punch.
Matilda Venn was in her first competition and was able to control her nerves to compete in the patterns division.
Senior student, Carlee Vokes narrowly missed out on placing in power breaking due to a technicality, but came back to pick up third place in special technique.
The tournament was well attended with many clubs travelling from interstate to compete.
The success of the Stawell students was all the more significant due to the high standard of competition and the predominance of larger city clubs.
The club trains Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6.30 at the Stawell 502 Primary School.
