The man, the sole occupant of the vehicle was left with serious injuries after the car he was driving ran off the road and hit a tree in Brunel Street at around 2pm.
The incident occurred just a day after two cars collided at the intersection of Wimmera and Grant Streets in Stawell.
The driver of a green ford ute is alleged to have failed to give way to the driver of a maroon car resulting in the smash.
