The two teams will meet for the second time in three years in the last game of the season.
In 2012 Carisbrook claimed the title after defeating Navarre where last year the Grasshoppers eliminated Carisbrook in the preliminary.
Coach, Daniel Parkin is excited to go into another grand final with the Navarre Football Club.
"It is always exciting playing in a grand final," Parkin said.
"It doesnt matter who you are or who you are playing. There is a little bit of history between our clubs now and that should add to the excitment."
Like most finals matches the contest will be won through the midfield.
Parkin has spent countless hours at training working on his team's ability to clear the ball.
It is expected that Josh Driscoll, Sam Kaye, Louis Hannett and Daniel Reading will shoulder most of the work through the middle of the ground while the likes of Parkin, Ben Scott and others will rotate through.
For Navarre the question mark has been on their midfield group for the majority of the season, while their forwards and their backs have been in good touch.
"Our forwards can and need to kick more goals if we are to win on Sunday," Parkin said.
"The backline they just have to keep doing what they are doing. They have been our back bone all season."
The defence will have their work cut out on Sunday containing the likes of Cole Roscholler.
Roscholler has kicked 10 goals in the last three weeks and will need to be contained for the entire match.
The Carisbrook forward line is very small and mobile and can be dangerous.
"If we let them get a run on early we could be in trouble," Parkin said.
Parkin has endured some tough desision in the past 48 hours selecting a team for the big clash.
"It is always hard to know that people are going to be unhappy," Parkin said
"I need to pick my best 22 that can win the flag. It is all part of the job, you have to made the tough calls."
While it is likely there will at least one change before the bounce come Sunday afternoon Parkin is just ready to get on with it.
Navarre are also just one game away from completing the entire season undefeated.
Navarre will meet Carisbrook on Sunday at Princes Park, where this time last year they were victorious.
