The combatants went head to head for the second time in a fortnight with the ultimate prize of meeting Laharum in the grand final on offer.
Much like last time Kalkee got the jump on Swifts early, but poor kicking gave a slow starting Baggies a chance.
Kalkee's Adam Carter was the first to salute the large crowd when he kicked a goal following a nice lead up kick from Adam French.
French followed up his assist with a goal of his own minutes later while Swifts were yet to trouble the scoreboard.
Ticking into the final minutes of the first quarter, Swifts were finally able to break the drought, with an inform Luke Mitchell snapping truly after a turnover by the Kees in the middle of the ground.
In the next passage of play ruckman Brett Hargreaves brought the ball to the ground and was able to clear the football to his coach Paul Hanns, who hit Mitchell lace out.
This time it was a set shot, but the same result was produced and the Baggies trailed by two points at the first change.
Mitchell again provided a target up forward for Swifts.
A combination of his aerial ability and appetite for the occasion saw Mitchell kick another two goals in the second quarter, bringing his individual tally to four.
Swifts were able to outscore Kalkee four goals to two in the second term to lead by seven points at the main break.
During the second quarter Swifts joint coach and power forward Ben Martin was struck by a stray elbow, which left him dazed.
Martin took no further part in the game and was taken to hospital at half time for observation.
Up until half time Damon Folkes had run riot finding plenty of the football and creating play through his run and carry.
Swifts came out all guns blazing in the premiership third quarter, kicking eight goals to enter their three quarter time huddle as almost certainties to play in this week's grand final.
Hanns said his players needed very few instructions at half time.
"We knew what we had to do," Hanns said.
"We wanted to extend our lead enough to enjoy the last quarter and we did that. Keeping a lid on things in that last quarter was one of the hardest things as a coach."
Hanns played his best quarter of football in the final term, kicking three goals to put the result beyond doubt.
Emotions ran high for the young club as the siren sounded and jubilation flowed as Swifts players and supporters came together in the centre of the Rupanyup football ground.
"It meant a lot to a lot of people," Hanns said.
"It has been three years in the making and to finally get there and have a crack is a huge relief."
The song was belted out at the top of their lungs, but for Swifts it is time to prepare for their biggest test yet in the form of the undefeated Laharum.
Best players were midfielders, Scott Carey, Sean Mantell and defenders Jakob Davis and Nick Pickering.
The final score was Swifts 20.8.128 defeating Kalkee 10.13.73.
