The costumes were many and varied and came in all shapes and sizes, as the students tried to look as much like their favourite book characters as possible.
Ranging from superheroes to villains and from pirates to princesses, the students paraded their costumes in the multi-purpose room, in front of parents and teachers.
Following on from the parade, each class returned to their room to enjoy a variety of activities based around the Book Week theme.
Activities were conducted in multi age groupings, as students took the opportunity to Connect to Reading.
A lot of work went into designing and making many of the costumes, with some of the more popular characters including Queen Elsa from the hit movie Frozen, Where's Wally, Cat in the Hat, Spider-Man, Harry Potter and Hermione and there was even a Lady Smurf among the crowd.
Sponge Bob Square Pants, some Ninja Turtles, popular Star Wars characters and of course furry animals of all shapes and sizes, also made an appearance during the morning parade.
