Achison will be performing his solo acoustic show at the Diamond House from 8pm.
It is certainly shaping up as an eventful year for Geoff Achison. Earlier this year, he and his band The Souldiggers, celebrated 20 years with a sold out concert in Melbourne. The concert was filmed for an upcoming DVD.
Achison returned to the United States in May, travelling from Atlanta, Georgia to New York City, performing with local musicians to create his Souldiggers group, as well as teaming with long time collaborator, Randall Bramblett.
He also played several shows with his acoustic guitar, showcasing some new tunes due for recording later in the year.
In Atlanta, Achison was invited to perform at the launch of author Alan Paul's new book 'One Way Out' which is an inside history of the legendary Allman Brothers Band.
When introducing Atchison on stage, Paul enthusiastically announced that the guitarist's impromptu appearance with the band, had been voted the number one favourite guest artist during the Allman Brothers Band's 2012 residency at New York's Beacon Theatre.
Now back in Australia, Geoff Achison has a busy gig schedule, taking him from his home base in Melbourne's vibrant music scene, to interstate performances in Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane and also around regional Victoria.
Stawell is fortunate to have been included on the regional Victorian leg of Achison's latest tour.
Achison has been a fixture on the Australian blues/roots scene since playing with the great Dutch Tilders Blues Club group in the 1990s.
He now maintains a busy international schedule, visiting the United States, United Kingdom and Germany, performing either solo acoustic or with various lineups of his Souldiggers group.
With such a rich history of travelling the world, Achison enjoys injecting some tales from the road into the act too.
Stawell and district residents will have the opportunity to view Geoff Achison's spectacular solo acoustic performances for themselves tomorrow night at the Diamond House Restaurant in Seaby Street.
The show featuring this multi award winning guitarist commences at 8pm and tickets are available at just $20 each.
Enquiries or dinner bookings can be made by phoning the Diamond House on 5358 3366. Dinner is from 6pm.
