Ararat proved too good for the third placed Eagles, building its lead at every change to come away with a 44 to 22 victory.
The Rats went into the contest with only seven of its players, which saw under-17 Alex Antonio start as an emergency.
Skrabl said with many of her players unwell heading into the match, the focus was just to get through the game by any means possible.
"We know that Warracknabeal are unpredictable, we only beat them by six last time, so we were hoping to hit them as hard as possible and go from there," she said.
"It was a really good game from everyone considering and a really good team effort. The couple of girls who were well really stepped it up."
The Rats quickly opened up a nine goal advantage in the opening term, with Megan Shea on song with 13 goals.
With Skrabl sidelined for a second week due to injury, Tahnee Walker helped fill the void in defence and was instrumental alongside Tiffany Boatman.
The 200-gamer's voice and direction in defence was important and helped allow the visitors turn a 16-goal halftime buffer into 21 goals by the final change.
Skrabl said the Rats finished the match off strongly with Lauri Williamson leading the charge.
"Lauri really came out and picked off everything," she said.
"She reads the ball very well and I was really happy with her intensity, it was great to see from Laurz because that was something we really needed with a few unwell."
This weekend's split round has come at a good time for Ararat, allowing the players to get back to full health ahead of the clash with another likely finalist, Dimboola next Saturday.
Skrabl will be unavailable for that match, but is in line to return the following week against Nhill.
Ararat's B grade team remains in touch with the top five following a hard fought win against the Eagles 49 to 43.
The Rats started off strongly against a tough home side opponent, with Breeanna Toomey stepping up from the 17 and unders to be a solid contributor in defence with Claire Harricks.
The visitors extended their three goal lead at quarter time to eight at the main break, however a very slow third term allowed Warrack to catch back up and saw scores even heading into the final quarter.
With Brooke Williamson combining well with the goalies, feeding them with creative passes, Ararat was again able to break away to record the important six goal victory.
In the 17 and unders the Rats faced top team the Eagles and managed to match it goal-for-goal in the opening quarter.
Ararat continued to battle hard over the next two quarters, with excellent defensive pressure allowing numerous scoring opportunities which saw the margin just six goals at the final change.
A tired last quarter allowed the Eagles to pull away, but overall the Rats would be happy with their team effort against the competition leader.
Ararat's 15 and under A team started off in good fashion, with Abby Moar's passes into the attacking end helping the side to a three goal advantage at quarter time.
The Rats continued to build on a lead at each quarter, as Larni Cain worked tirelessly in defence and Monique Scott brought the ball down the court and used her voice well.
The 35 to 29 win sees Ararat maintain equal second position on the ladder.
In the 15 and under B match, the Rats produced a dominant display to defeat the Eagles by 37 goals.
Ararat, which sits comfortably atop the ladder, quickly raced away to a 14-goal lead in the first quarter before extending that margin over the next two quarters to hold a 29-goal buffer heading into the fourth term.
The side was strong across all lines and continued to press right to the final whistle to take victory 48 to 11.
Goalies Lilly Sewell and Indie Calvert were named the top two performers, combining well in their first full match together and doing everything the coach asked of them.
In the 13 and unders Ararat remains half a game outside the top five following its loss to the Eagles by seven goals last Saturday.
The Rats trailed their opponent by one goal at quarter time, but the match slipped away in the second term as Warrack piled on 10 goals to two.
Olivia Carr was a consistent performer at goal keeper and continues to grow with confidence each week. Coach Kate Bligh said the defender was becoming a strong leader in the side.
The Rats matched it with the Eagles in the final two quarters but were unable to reduce the margin, finishing behind 17 to 24.
