With both teams sitting on three wins each for the season the match will be all important for the confidence of both teams going into the final rounds of the season.
The Lions are coming off the back of an impressive 81 points victory over the Ararat Eagles and will be keen to continue their good form against a team that narrowly lost to finals contenders Lismore Derrinallum last weekend.
This clash looms as one of the contests of the round.
Despite both teams battling in the bottom half of the ladder, each has shown throughout the season they can match it with the better sides in the competition, but consistency has been an issue for them.
The Lions were finally able to show last week they are capable of putting in a four quarter effort and no doubt coach Nick Thomas will be searching for that from his playing group again tomorrow.
Unfortunately for the Lions they will go into the must win game without star utility BJ Burton and half back Danny Grellet, who were both instrumental in the win last week.
Both Burton and Grellet are unavailable.
Nick Thomas will be looking to the likes of Tom McCord, Bobby Garley, veteran Tim Shalders and Nathan Ringin to fill the void left by these two players.
He did however, stress that a collective effort from the 21 players selected would be the only way his team would come away with the win.
Another challenge for the Lions will be containing the likes of Adam Keilar, who booted seven goals for Glenthompson-Dunkeld in the narrow loss last week, as well as onballer Michael Uebergang.
It is likely that second gamer Danny Hoare will start on Keilar.
Thomas said the Lions would not pay close attention to any player in particular.
He pointed to the ability of his onballers last week to defend as a unit and help out the defence when required.
Thomas said this will again be a major factor in the Lions ability to stop the Glenthompson-Dunkeld run and carry through the middle of the ground tomorrow.
