WEATHER: Areas of morning frost, locally severe. Areas of morning fog. Cloudy. Patchy rain developing later this afternoon and evening, extending throughout tonight.  Tops of just 10 degrees.

TOP STORIES:

STAWELL is beginning to defrost, after temperatures plunged to at or below freezing for the second night in a row. According to the bureau of meteorology, the temperature fell to as low as -0.8 degrees Celsius overnight.

Last week's cold snap resulted in snow once again falling on top of Mt William in the Grampians.

WITH less than 130 days until Victorians go to the polls the State Coalition Government is determined to demonstrate that it is 'putting locals first'.

As part of the campaign Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional and Rural Development, Peter Ryan hosted the region's first Putting Locals First Forum in Stawell last Thursday.

STAWELL Regional Health has announced a new location for weekend appointments, to commence this weekend.

Stawell Medical Centre will conduct the weekend clinics at the new Community Rehabilitation and Oncology Centre at the hospital in Sloane Street, Stawell.

SPORT:

JARROD Illig has returned to Stawell after spending almost two weeks on the Gold Coast playing elite football.

Despite losing two of the three games, Illig had a strong carnival, earning best awards in each game played.

WHAT'S ON: 

STAWELL Community Action Network in association with schools, sporting clubs and organisations, including Central Grampians LLEN, Grampians Community Health, Northern Grampians Shire and Victoria Police are inviting you to a Cyber Safety community meeting tonight.

The information evening is being held at the Stawell Secondary College Hall from 7pm.
