Cassidy always thought their improvement would come late in the season and he has so far been proven right.

In their last eight quarters of football, Stawell has fallen away in just one quarter, which allowed Warracknabeal to seal a 54 point victory in their most recent game.

"We really accepted the challenge last weekend and we need to do that again this week against Dimboola," Cassidy said.

Warriors had a good run around on Tuesday night fine tuning skills and tactics that will be in place this weekend.

Cassidy reinforced their improvement in the last couple of weeks to the numbers that were there.

"I really want these last five games to be finals like and I've told the boys that," he said.

"We need to finish off the year strongly a get that one scalp before seasons end.

One positive to come out of this season despite poor results is the strength of the junior football.

This year alone has already seen five junior players make their senior debut, with Ben Taylor set to be the sixth tomorrow afternoon.

Taylor is an athletic youngster whose enthusiasm for the game should be rewarded.

"He is a good young fella and he just loves his football," Cassidy said

Taylor will be replacing fellow under 17 player Michael Hackwill.

"Hackers did nothing wrong, it's just about giving a couple of the young boys a crack," Cassidy said.

"They all come in, play their role and develop that bit more with each senior game they play."

Sam Williams has been one of the under 17 players to impress at the senior level, having played the last five games.

Liam Scott, who played his junior football at Swifts, has taken some time to settle into senior Wimmera League football and in recent weeks has started to get more involved.

"Liam has taken time to get accustomed to senior football at this level," Cassidy said.

"He is building from week to week. Like most young players they just take time. I've shown my faith in Liam and other young players and we are getting rewards for that."

Another notable mention is Mitch Collins who played in their victory a fortnight ago against Nhill.

Jarrod Illig is another of the under 17s players to have played several senior games.

Just last week he attended the South Pacific Championships in Queensland where he was amongst the best players.

After having the week off he will play in the under 17s tomorrow.

As a whole Cassidy is very pleased with each of the juniors that have stepped up to play senior football this year.

"It is very exciting for the club. These boys are our future," Cassidy said.

Tomorrow's game plan for Cassidy is just to attack the football.

"We need to play a full four quarter game," Cassidy said.

"It just means we need to be harder and tougher for longer. If we can do that, we will be around the mark."

Stawell's line up will be very similar to last weekend with Taylor coming in for Hackwill.

Aidan Potter may also be in doubt, as a knee injury he suffered in the match against Ararat has flared up again.

He will be given as long as he needs to make the call on whether he plays or not.

Stawell will take on Dimboola at Central Park tomorrow starting at 2.30pm.
