Hill had an astonishing day on the track, riding four winners, including the O'Sullivan trained pair Poppy's Boy and Already Taken.

Hill's second win of the day came on the back of the O'Sullivan trained three year old Already Taken.

The lightly raced gelding has been working up to peak fitness for some time and impressed stable foreman Jade Kennedy.

"He was stepping up to the mile for the first time and ran well," Kennedy said.

"He had a pretty unlucky draw to contend with, which made it more impressive."

Jumping from barrier 13, Hill had some work to do early as he settled midfield.

Already Taken took until the 600 metre mark to really get going.

"It was a good run, he just ended up running away from them. He was too good," Kennedy said.

The win was Already Taken's second in his career, bringing his stake total to just under $30,000.

Hill followed up immediately with a win in race five on the Patrick Payne trained Sea Ghost, before changing his silks one last time.

In the final race on the card, Hill was aboard O'Sullivan galloper Poppy's Boy.

Poppy's Boy was resuming from a 28 week spell and to win first up was a big thrill for the stable.

"He has been resting for a while because he just didn't know how to race," Kennedy said.

Kennedy spoke of how hard Poppy's Boy has been to train.

"He works on the treadmill all the time," Kennedy said.

"He is a very head strong horse and some of our jockeys just aren't strong enough. He is a little risky so he needs a good jockey."

Hill was satisfied sitting at the back of the field before charging home late.

"We sort of held our breath, but Jack rode him well," Kennedy said.

Poppy's Boy will continue with the shorter races as he often races too keenly for any endurance, while Already Taken will look to have his next run at Sandown next Wednesday.
