The organisation is pleased to have Deirdre Baum from Laharum Grove providing afternoon tea and dinner for volunteers.
Frenchman's Valley Wines will provide tastings with wines from the Pyrenees wine region of Western Victoria.
Ms Baum is a fabulous cook and is well known in the region for producing slow cooked gourmet meals.
Volunteers can enjoy great food and wine and feel good knowing they are helping farmers and the local environment.
Planting will kick off at 12.30pm and will finish at 5.00pm after which participants can relax around an open fire and enjoy a delicious dinner and a glass of local wine.
Plantouts are community events held each year during the month of July and form part of a federally funded program to return thousands of indigenous plants to the landscape as part of a longer term vision of the Grampians to Pyrenees Biolink.
Organisers hope to put 4000 plants into the ground, there are a range of jobs for all abilities to suit everyone.
A bus is available to the Barkly site and will leave from the Project Platypus office at 11.30am, contact Leigh Blackmore on 0407 320 093 to book a seat and go along and support the efforts of Project Platypus Upper Wimmera Landcare.
