The workshop will be held on Monday, June 23, at the Richardson Oval Clubrooms in Ararat, commencing at 7pm.
This workshop will be headed by Michael Flynn from the Central Highlands Regional Sports Assembly and will be examining aspects of GCA cricket.
The workshop will be divided into three groups - Administration, senior and junior cricket.
It is expected that all clubs will be sending an administrator, a senior player, preferably the team captain and if applicable a representative from their juniors.
The workshop will be divided into three groups so it will be impossible for one person to be present at all three groups.
Discussions and ideas to be dealt with are current GCA and club administration with regard to securing grants, attracting and keeping volunteers and an update of current government rules.
The senior player workshop will deal with the current structure of the GCA competition, representative cricket, rules etc, while the junior section will deal with broadening cricket's base, coaching and Pathways programs.
GCA president, Anthony Martin said this was a great chance for clubs to get together and pick the brains of the experts and compare notes with other clubs as to what is successful.
"Michael is also a playing member of the Ballarat CA Board so is really switched on to cricket.
"This will be a great chance to improve the club structure, the foundation of any successful association," Mr Martin said.
For catering purposes it is essential clubs contact secretary, Garry Cunningham (0407 059 873 ) by Sunday.
The two hour workshop will be followed by a light supper.
