First staged by SPACi in 1997, the hugely successful show by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber (who also wrote Cats and The Phantom of the Opera) is certain to entertain audiences of all ages just as it has in the past.
"It is such a great show, catchy tunes and fun choreography, highly entertaining and a great show to be involved in," Ms Lee said.
Lauren brings a wealth of experience to the company. She has been involved in theatre productions most of her life and is an accomplished singer and musician. Her most recent on stage success was in a lead role in Horsham Arts Council's award winning production of Godspell in 2010.
Lauren has been involved in SPACi productions over the last few years, on stage and playing piano and has successfully directed a number of productions at Stawell Secondary College.
In addition to directing Joseph, Ms Lee is looking forward to presiding over an exciting program of performing opportunities for the local community throughout 2014.
The Come and Sing group has already had its first public performance for 2014 as a part of Harmony Day celebrations at the Stawell Library.
The Young Ones are back rehearsing for their production of Joust - A Mighty Medieval Musical in June and there will be a series of acting and movement workshops for adults in the lead up to the production of Joseph.
For more information about SPACI programs, this year's production or the upcoming acting workshops is available on the Stawell Performing Arts Company Facebook page or you can contact director Lauren Lee on 0407 2135 26.
