Eckel has been named in the forward pocket, but is expected to run through the middle at stages throughout the game.
Wimmera interleague coach Louie Dalziel has been impressed with what he has seen from Eckel in recent weeks.
"He is in really good form at training," Dalziel said.
"He's had a great start to the year with Stawell and is a good up and coming player."
Joining Eckel from Stawell in tomorrow's clash will be Shane Field.
Field returns to the interleague squad this year after a strong performance last year and will start on the interchange.
Dalziel, who has been coaching for six years, said that the commitment level of each player at training has been great.
"Coaching interleague can at times be difficult," Dalziel said.
"The last couple of years, commitment from the best players has been down, whereas this year it's up.
"We are now building on something."
Despite coaching last season Dalziel made a conscious effort to start fresh this season, as they take on a different league.
"We fell just short last year, but each year is different," Dalziel said.
Training this year has also seen improved commitment with players from around the Wimmera travelling to Horsham once a week.
The training load rose again this week as they trained Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
"I can't fault any of the boys for their commitment," Dalziel said.
Horsham onballer Nick Pekin has been named as captain of the Big W team.
-Dalziel believes the players to watch this year are Ararat's Beau Cosson who has sharp skills across half forward and Rhona Conboy, a 16 year old from Horsham who will play in the backline.
Other Stawell players who have been training with the squad include Jackson Dark and Todd Matthews.
Dark has been named as an emergency while Matthews missed out on selection.
Wimmera Football League will take on North Central at St Arnaud from 2.20pm tomorrow.
