-Scientists could be on the verge of a major breakthrough, and the site of the Stawell Gold Mine could hold the key to the world-first discovery. The Centre of excellence for Particle Physics (CoEPP) is leading an international search to determine whether the site is suitable to support the detection of dark matter.

-Stawell Secondary College has accepted an offer from Basketball Victoria to work with Skene Street in a mentoring program.

The Junior United Mentoring Programs (J.U.M.P) is an exciting new integrated basketball program endorsed by School Sport Australia.  

-CKS Swifts have secured second place on the Horsham District Football League ladder with a strong win over. Harrow-Balmoral.

Both Swifts and Harrow-Balmoral had suffered just one loss each leading into the match where Swifts took the upper hand.

What's on:  Stawell and District Residents Association will conduct its next general meeting tonight.

The meeting will be held in the foyer at the Stawell Entertainment Centre, commencing at 7.30pm
