Stawell's breakfast scoop - May 14

WEATHER: Break out the shorts and t-shirts! (Maybe not quite).  We're staring down the barrel of a top temperature in the early 20s today.

Stage three of the upgrade to the Stawell Airport has been cleared for completion.

Northern Grampians Shire Mayor, Cr Kevin Erwin, said the upgrade had completely transformed the airport into a modern, state of the art facility.

WHAT'S ON:

A Stawell Gold Mines Future Opportunities Information Session is on tonight in the Stawell Town Hall Entertainment Centre foyer from 5.30pm until 7pm.

The Centre of Excellence for Particle Research (CoEPP), Geoffrey Taylor will speak at the information session about whether the Stawell Gold Mine site is suitable to support the detection of dark matter.

Tonight is registration night for the Stawell Interchurch netball competition.

Forms are available at Sports Power with registration to be held from 5pm-6pm at the Stawell Leisure Complex.
