The family friendly event will leave from Cato Lake with participants to follow a track that is just over five kilometres in length around town and will take about an hour to walk.
Be sure to bring some water for yourself and your beloved pet, but even those without pooches are welcome to join in the fun.
The Million Paws Walk is the most important event on the canine calendar and a fundraising day for all animal lovers.
This Sunday's Stawell event is a trial run with the RSPCA agreeing to put on an official event next year.
All animal lovers are encouraged to brush off their walking shoes, pull out their pet's leash and bring along their 'best friend' as part of the event.
The Million Paws Walk is a fun day out where residents can make a real difference to RSPCA animals.
More than 25,000 people will walk at 16 different locations across Victoria in 2014, with Stawell to be added to the list in 2015.
Next year, Stawell residents will be encouraged to register to take part and set up their own fundraising page.
You can then ask family, friends, colleagues, neighbours and classmates to sponsor your walk.
Every dollar raised makes a difference and will help the RSPCA raise $482,000 to support its work with animals in need.
Money raised through entry fees, the sale of merchandise and online fundraising will help to fund the RSPCA's critical work in the community.
