STAWELL - In order to support the Halls Gap businesses and those impacted by the recent fires, members of the Stawell Gold Reef Ladies Probus Club have enjoyed two visits to the Grampians.

There were 35 members and friends who spent a fantastic weekend at the Halls Gap Lakeside Caravan Park. The tranquil beauty and facilities of the park were appreciated by all and member agreed on a return visit next year.

Later in the month, members enjoyed a bus trip to Laharum Grove Restaurant, which had been miraculously saved from the fire a few weeks prior to the visit.

The majority of the 11,000 olive trees in the plantation were damaged by the fire, but the owners are hopeful most will regenerate to produce olives again.

Fifty-one members enjoyed a mystery trip to the Creswick Tangled Maze for March.

A meal was enjoyed at the restaurant before the trip continued to the Creswick Woollen Mills for a conducted tour and some shopping.

A number of trips and excursions are planned for the following months.
