An initiative of the Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW), Women Walk the World aims to connect and support women all over the world.
CWA Stawell branch president Jodi Ford said the Stawell event would bring women from across the region together to celebrate what it is to live in the beautiful Grampians region.
"We're really looking forward to seeing local women come along to walk with us," she said.
"This event is all about the power of numbers and we know that there are so many women in our region that are passionate about the benefits of being connected as a community. Women Walk the World is a perfect opportunity to strengthen and promote this notion."
Women Walk the World takes place today right across the globe.
The Stawell event will begin at 5.30pm at Cato Park.
Participants should dress warmly in clothes appropriate for exercise.
The walk will not be strenuous and is suitable for all ages and abilities.
Participants are encouraged to make a gold coin donation towards the work of the CWA Stawell branch.
