Double up for grabs for lady golfers

The prestigious double was up for grabs for the Stawell Golf Club ladies last week and it was Chris Trickey who took the spoils.

The ladies were on the course contesting the Town Hall Hotel sponsored stroke round played in conjunction with the monthly medal honours.

Chris Trickey was the dominator as she fired in a round 97 to finish with a nett 69.

This score saw her take out the day's division two stroke event and also the monthly medal.

The next best score in division two came from Delcie Baggs with her round of 109/35/74.

In division one the best score the day came from Leigh Johnston with her score of 88/18/70.

A countback was required to decide the runner up in division one when Jill McInerney and Lyn Willcock both came in with nett 72 and it was Jill who won the countback.

Nearest the pin winners on the day were Joan Fletcher on the Albright Metal Recyclers sixth hole, Kaye Skinner on the Stawell Cartage ninth, Kaye Skinner on the HiWay 8 Motel 13th and Chris Trickey on the Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant 17th hole.

Eunice Ball was a winner with her second shot to the WW and KF Skinner 10th hole.

The ladies will be back in action tomorrow with the Pink Ball Day and on Anzac Day in the Stawell Times News three person open texan ambrose.
