Family members - Dr Arthur Obi, his wife Joy and their three sons, Ugochukwu, Adione and Nkemdilim all took the Oath of Allegiance at the Stawell Entertainment Centre earlier this month.
The family members were welcomed as new Australian citizens by Northern Grampians Shire Mayor, Cr Kevin Erwin, who conducted the ceremony.
The family was joined for the special Australian Citizenship ceremony by Dr Norm Castle, a long time friend, who described the Obi family as a great asset to Stawell.
