Jim and Beryl Upson were joined by extended family and members of the original bridal party.
Both of Beryl's bridesmaids were able to attend, which made the day very special. Beryl's friendship with both girls has spanned about 75 years.
Jim and Beryl were married in Melbourne and moved to Stawell not long after. Jim spent many years working in the car industry in Stawell, as a mechanic and also selling new and used cars.
They have both been active members of the Stawell Baptist Church and enjoy many friendships in their community. In celebrating their Diamond Anniversary, they commented that moving to Stawell was one of the best decisions they had made in their marriage.
Their children David, Julienne and Jennie and almost all of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren were able to be present to help Jim and Beryl celebrate their special occasion.
