He had his own band for 20 years, but then decided to go solo, which has proven to be a good move.
Chooka has travelled throughout Australia, performing at numerous festivals including Mildura, Tamworth, Bunbury Western Australia, Tasmania and also New Zealand. He has also performed at Barmera, South Australia, where he was inducted into the Country Hall of Fame.
Now he is bringing his show to the National Hotel in Stawell.
Chooka was recently notified that a film clip shot in Barmera with his song 'My Akubra' has been shown in Canada and England.
He is popular for his smooth singing voice which suits easy listening country songs.
Known in South Australia as the country music 'Crooner', Chooka's show is not to be missed.
Chooka will perform at the National Hotel on Thursday, April 17.
