Managing Director Mark Williams said that to complete the works, the water main on the bridge needed to be taken out of service.
"Alternative supply arrangements will be put in place to ensure minimum standards for fire fighting and general use are met," Mr Williams said.
"However some customers may experience a slight reduction in water pressure at some stages of the project.
"We assure our customers that every effort will be made to ensure minimal disruption to supply. Water pressure will return to normal once work is completed and the pipe is reconnected.
"We apologise to our Stawell customers for any inconvenience they may experience."
