REGION - A jam packed week full of fun is on the agenda for National Youth Week 2014 in Ararat and Stawell, with the Central Grampians Local Learning and Employment Network running activities over a week long period to showcase local youth talent.

National Youth Week kicks off on Monday with the first showcase, an Open Mic night at Stawell's Lillies and Lattes.
"The night will feature local musicians and at the moment we have 12 confirmed performers," organiser Sarah Garton said.
The event will start at 5pm and snacks will be provided with tea, coffee and soft drink available for purchase.
"A bus will be coming from Ararat to transport young people to the event," Ms Garton said.
The bus will be leaving the front of the Town Hall, Ararat at 4:30pm. Seats are limited on the bus so please call Meagan on 5352 3266 to book.
Stawell will be continuing the youth week festivities with a Skate, Scoot & BMX display on Wednesday at the Stawell Skate Park commencing at 12noon with free barbecue.
Ararat's Youth Week celebrations will include a games afternoon at the Alexandra Guide Hall starting at 11.30am on Tuesday while on Thursday Youth Art will be on display from 12.30pm until 3pm in the Art and Craft Room at the back of the Ararat Performing Arts Centrel. Community members are encouraged to attend with a light afternoon tea provided.
The week will finish off with a movie at the Astor Cinema for young people who have supported the Youth Week celebrations.
"At each event we will be handing out National Youth Week tokens to all the youth that attend. The young person can present this badge to us at the cinema to get the discount on a ticket to see the new Lego movie," Ms Garton said.
Free buses will be available for young people to be able to get to each event during the week. Seats are limited so please call Meagan on 5352 3266 for pick up point and time.
