Around 50 people stopped at the pop up beauty salon in Main Street to have their fingernails or lips painted for a gold coin donation.
Salon owner Kim Salmi said people also bought raffle tickets and took up the offer of a $5 coffee and cake at Mokepilly Caf , with the proceeds of that going to research into multiple sclerosis .
"We were absolutely thrilled with the response to our 'Kiss MS Goodbye' fundraiser," she said.
"In three hours the money just flowed in, with some very generous donations received.
"Some local men were even dared to have their lips painted red, which they did to the delight of onlookers.
"We are so thankful to the local community for supporting the event."
Ms Salmi said raffle tickets were still available at the salon and donated prizes included a pamper pack and an original Eileen Glover painting.
'Kiss MS Goodbye' is an initiative of MS Research Australia. All of the donations made go towards preventing and treating the symptoms of multiple sclerosis.
