The eager group of yarn enthusiasts have been gathering twice a week since September and are always looking to expand.
The Yarn Club meets at the Salvation Army shop each Tuesday from 1pm to 3pm and again each Friday between 10am and 12 noon.
Cost is $1 per person per session and each week, there are up to eight enthusiasts attending the sessions.
Members enjoy spending their time knitting, crocheting and sharing ideas.
Yarn Club organiser, Bernadette Welsford, said it was a great opportunity to enjoy some social time while working on various garments.
“It really is an opportunity for people to gather and enjoy some knitting, as well as a chat,” Ms Welsford said.
“The club is a good way for people to show off their work and to bounce ideas off each other. I’m happy to teach any newcomers if they are interested as well.”
Anyone interested in joining the Yarn Club can simply turn up to the Salvation Army shop function room on a Tuesday at 1pm or a Friday at 10am, or call Bernadette on 0459 789 204.
