After consultation with the Department of Health, GWM Water wishes to confirm that the Halls Gap water supply has been returned to drinking water quality and therefore can be safely ingested and used for food preparation.
The boil water notice for Pomonal residents and residents north-east of the Ararat-Halls Gap Road and Grampians Road junction in Halls Gap remains in force until further notice.
The water trailer previously situated in Halls Gap has been relocated to Pomonal.
"We apologise to our Halls Gap and Pomonal customers for any inconvenience caused by this incident and thank the local community for its cooperation during the extremely difficult conditions the region has experienced over the last week," General Manager Mark Williams said.
