Stawell collision leaves two cars damaged

STAWELL - A motorist in her 70s has been fined by police after she failed to give way at an intersection on Saturday, resulting in a two car collision.

The occupant of the vehicle was travelling east on Shireff Street when she failed to give way to another vehicle travelling south on Sloane Street at about 1pm.

Fortunately, the driver of the Hyandai Lantra, nor the three occupants of the other vehicle, were injured in the crash. However, both cars sustained enough damage to require towing from the scene.

Police issued the 75-year-old driver of the white Hyundai Lantra with a fail to give way notice.
