Trained at Great Western by Peter Manning, Znana was sent out the short priced punter's elect and did not disappoint.
Manning said he was confident before the race and this confidence was justified.
Znana started well from the pole position and shot straight to the early lead.
At the bell Znana had a slight buffer on stablemate Additallup, who did look poised to challenge at one stage, but proved no match for Znana.
Additallup made a gallant attempt at snatching victory, but failed to make up the ground.
Trainer Peter Manning was satisfied with filling the first two placings, ensuring both Znana and Additallup qualifed for the final at Horsham this Sunday.
Manning put Znana's current form down to being gelded about a year ago.
"He was gelded at about two and half. He's got a completely different attitude now," Manning said.
The change in attitude has seen the horse win four of his last six starts.
The other two races being a tough hit out at Melton where he ran an impressive fifth in a strong field and also a second at Maryborough.
Three of those wins were consecutive coming from Horsham, Stawell and Ararat throughout November.
Znana, who is no stranger to the Horsham track after winning there in November, will lap up the familiar surrounds on Sunday and should prove hard to beat.
The Manning stable is hopeful of a good barrier draw for the Horsham Pace final on Sunday.
"If we get a good barrier draw and the good horses get a poor draw, then we're in with a good chance," Peter Manning said.
With strong representation at Horsham on Sunday, Manning said he was looking forward to seeing if the stable's winning form can continue.
"We have had a terrific spring that has put the horses in good stead," he said.
Peter Manning also won the Hygain Feeds Pace with Garabaldi Union to finish off the successful day.
