The team that entered the finals at the bottom of the division rose to the challenge with Nicole Dixon, Judy McNeight and Gavin Orr all winning their respective matches.
Dixon struck first, but only just - pushed to a very narrow 22-21 win in the second game by opponent Steph Walker.
Spaldings's Rachel Troeth was able to win a game from McNeight before the pressure was lifted and McNeight held on to take the second rubber in three games.
Dustin Barry then inflicted a straight game defeat on Greg Gorter before the top graded players took to the court to settle the result.
David Kaczynski needed to fire, but it was evident early that Orr was primed for collecting the biggest scalp of the night.
The duo rallied, locked at 16-16 in the second game, Kaczynski lost out and so with it his team. Sfida premiers 3-6-171 to 1-3-156.
In division two Fila defied the odds to down Adidas by just six points, 2-4-136 to 2-4-130.
It too joined the final series after resting at the bottom of the division and a week earlier the bottom of the competition ladder.
Adidas was looking the goods early as Daniel Gurney and Marcelo Sanchez collected the first two rubbers of the night.
Fila's Ben Kimber and Barry Bassett then upped the intensity and did what was required to get the hard fought six point win.
The Stawell Racquetball Association is reminding all current and potential players that it is now taking names for next year's competition.
The 2014 autumn season will commence with a grading night for any new and existing players on Monday, February 3.
