The club has received a total of 20 entries in the competition, which is slightly up compared to last year. Entries offer a good mix of residential homes and commercial businesses.
Lions members are thrilled with the increase in entries and are grateful for the support of the Stawell public.
Members enjoyed a practice run touring around the streets of Stawell last night to view all the entries in the competition and will be out and about again tonight in their bus officially judging the lights competition.
Members of the public are invited to travel throughout the streets of Stawell along with the judging bus tonight to view all the entries in the competition.
Traditionally, residents follow the same route as the Lions members as they travel around Stawell judging the many displays.
Lions members encourage residents who have entered their displays in the Christmas Lights competition for 2013, to leave their lights on a little later than usual. This will ensure that the Lions judging bus can view every display entered in the competition.
Winners in the Christmas Lights competition will appear in a later edition of the Stawell Times News/Ararat Advertiser.
