STAWELL - Jill and Lyle McInerney were streets ahead of their nearest rivals in last Saturday's Stawell Golf Club fourball best ball Legacy Day event.
Up against a strong field of 62 players, the husband and wife returned 48 points to win the mixed division.
The McInerneys finished eight points clear of runner up pair and also husband and wife, Frank and Johanna Kuypers.
In the ladies division, Murial Hart and Dulcie Molan claimed the spoils with 43 points, edging out Lyn Willcock and Jan Alborough by two.
Terry Hinch and Ken Harnall topped the men's division with 47 points from Dean Kinti and Steve Odgers on 44.
Men's nearest pins went to Lyle McInerney on the sixth hole, Phil Willcock on the Money Hole ninth while Matt Dalton took out the HiWay 8 Motel 13th and Rob Blachford was a winner on the David Hunter Landscape Gardening 17th.
Des Pickford won on the Stawell Hydraulics second shot third hole and the second shot Stawell Baptist Church 18th belonged to Leighton Dunn.
Lyn Willcock joined her husband in taking out the Money Hole ninth and Jill McInerney saluted for the ladies on the David Hunter Landscape Gardening 17th.
Des Pickford was A grade chicken run winner last Thursday with 19 points on a countback from Max Waters.
Rod Sheppard finished on top of the B grade chicken run with 18 from Jim Freebairn, also on a countback.
The Stawell Golf Club annual tournament starts today with three lady and three man Irish stableford competitions, sponsored by Carey Covers and Frewstal Pty Ltd respectively. It is a 10am shotgun start.
