STAWELL - The Stawell and district community is invited to join in the fun at a sportsman's night to be held this Thursday at the Stawell Entertainment Centre.
The night is in conjuction with an Australian Cricket Association (ACA) Masters tour, which will see a number of former Australian and first class cricketers who tour the country, challenging Grampians Cricket Association players to a game of cricket and raising money for local charities.
As part of this Masters tour, the visiting team of ex-international players will be staging the sportsman's night in aid of the Stawell Hospital.
The night commences at 7.30pm together with a charity auction. Cost of the evening will be $25 per head and will consist of stories from the past by the ex-Test players together with finger food on the tables.
Tickets are available from Shirley Rickard at Northern Grampians Shire Council, Scotney Hayter at Stawell Post Office, or any of the GCA cricket clubs.
The next day, this Friday, October 25 there will be a Cricket Legends StawellBiz Business Breakfast from 7.30am-9am to be held at the Comfort Inn Goldfields. Cost is $10 per head for StawellBiz members and $15 per head for non members.

Another exciting event which is scheduled for this Friday night is the GCA vs Australian Cricket Association Masters team.
The match will take the form of a twilight Twenty/20 match being staged under lights at Central Park commencing at 5.30pm.
This has been an initiative of the Northern Grampians Shire together with Grampians Cricket Association and the Australian Cricket Association.
Admission into Friday's match is $5.00 per adult, and under 16s are free.
Coaching clinics and community visits will also form part of the tour, and this Friday there will be a clinic for Stawell Primary School to be held at Central Park from 10am until 12.30pm.
